1. Find one screenshot and post it on your blog. Include a detailed analysis of the screen.

The screenshot I have chosen to analyze is a scene near the end of the movie in which the people from the cave have just entered the city. The scene focuses on the strangers from the citizen's point of view as they are preparing to shoot the strangers. It builds anticipation by panning over all of the citizens and strangers.
This scene includes both far shots and close-up shots to create a very interesting perspective. While a close-up tends to take precedence over whatever is in the background of a shot, this scene changes that by making the closeup the back of the citizens' heads instead of the front. This shifts the focus onto the strangers and gives the viewer that feeling that they are a part of this film and a part of the group of citizens.
This is also an interesting shot because it builds anticipation by taking the time to scan behind every citizen as they are holding their guns while the strangers stand in a sort of "deer-in-headlights" way. The two groups both prepare for a stand off, and this is panning over the calm before the storm. This also might give the viewer a slight feeling of safety, thinking that maybe these strangers won't be harmed after all and it was all just for show. Unfortunately for the strangers, that isn't the case, but the viewer isn't completely certain about this until the shooting actually begins.
Overall, this is a very strong and impactful shot that incorporates both far and close-ups and builds anticipation in the viewer.
