Movie Ranks

1. The Devil's Backbone
I really enjoyed this movie. I enjoy watching scary movies, and while this one wasn't too terrifying, it was thrilling. I enjoyed the mystery and learning about the different characters and finding out who the bad guys really were. I found this to be the most entertaining movie I watched in this class.

2. M

I was surprised I enjoyed this movie. I'm not usually a big fan of older films, but this movie kept me interested in the characters. It was also interesting to watch the end in which the certain groups of people helped each other but also turned on each other and it was interesting to see those connections.

3. Double Indemnity

This movie was interesting. I liked that the characters were interesting enough that I felt sorry for some and hated others. I enjoyed watching this film.

4. The Piano

This movie had a really nice style. It focused on an interesting topic, I find myself more interested in drama than in action films which is why I liked it a bit more.

5. Zero Dark Thirty

This movie moved a bit slow, but it was intense which I liked about it. I also enjoyed the style in which it was filmed.

6. The Hitchhiker

This movie was pretty interesting, but it dragged on a bit. I wasn't a huge fan of it, but it was interesting to see a movie in which the typically female role was played by a man.

7. Do the Right Thing

This movie wasn't bad, but I wasn't really enthralled by the topic. I'm also not a fan of the late 80s/early 90s style which made the movie a bit less appealing.

8. Sherlock Jr.

This movie was interesting, but I'm not a fan of silent films which is the main reason I didn't enjoy it as much. However, it was still entertaining for what it was.

9. El Topo

This movie was too bizarre in my opinion and I felt that it was trying too hard to create something so abstract. If there was a deeper meaning, it was covered by the terrible style.

I didn't complete this assignment.
